An Alexandria native and graduate of Pineville High School, Dr. Christopher Wheelis is pleased to be helping patients in his hometown, and he is looking forward to investing in our community. His specialization in minimally invasive/robotic surgery promises to continue the growth of robotic surgery at Mid Louisiana Surgical Specialists. He is a board eligible general surgeon (ATLS, ACLS, and PALS).

During his free time, Dr. Wheelis enjoys spending quality time outdoors with his wife and son, camping, hunting, and fishing. As a lifelong learner, he is always looking for his next new hobby. Dr. Wheelis also enjoys traveling whenever he can, having been to Peru, France, Germany, Italy, and Canada.
